Two guards who watched the fight happen intervened and one of them beat Toni with his nightstick.
This angers Toni and they start fighting, which ends with Toni beating the inmate up really good. During the time that the inmates are allowed to go outside to the courtyard, Toni is exercising, when one of the other inmates comes up to him and starts taunting and insulting him. Toni has been in prison since 1943, and is serving a 15 year prison sentence. He is imprisoned along with two other inmates, Frank Miller, a bank robber who robbed one of the biggest banks in the US and stole 1 million dollars along with 3 other people, and Phillip "Big Phil" Gibson, a 6' 4" (1.93m) muscular monster. Toni Santorno is imprisoned in Abismo Federal Penitentiary (Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary) for the murder of a rat in 1942 who was planning to share sensitive information with the feds. The story begins in 1947 in San Farina (San Francisco).
